It's that time again for some good ol' fashion reading. Today's selection is called "Monsters Make Me Giggle."
"Some monsters have healthy teeth and nice pretty smiles, others can fly and see for miles and miles."
Join Joel Fashingbauer as he takes you on a technicolor rhyming romp through his playful world of monsters. Mr. Fashingbauer remembers keeping three little monsters under his bed in a coffee can. In this story he has brought these wonderful creatures to life along with all their hilarious monster friends.
For any of you CyberBud pals who may be afraid of the monsters behind the closet door or under the bed, like me, this story is a must. Once you read "Monsters Make Me Giggle," I'm sure you will have a great night of sleep. I did!!!
Ask for it at your local bookstore.
Until next time, add some spice to your life by reading a good book!
"Sign of the Beaver" - by Elizabeth George Speare.
I read the book Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare. It is about a boy named Matt who is left alone in an unfarmilier area (Maine Woods) while his father goes to get the rest of their family. When Matt is staying alone in a hand-made cabin, a man steals his gun so he can only catch animals using traps. While Matt is living in the woods, he meets an Indian boy named Attean. Attean is grumpy although Matt is willing to teach him to read. Matt and Attean grow to become good friends. Attean teaches Matt how to survive, while Matt teaches Attean some of the white mans ways of living. Attean invites Matt to tribe celibrations and he gets to know Attean's tribe. Matt, meanwhile is worried because his father and rest of family is late. Because of this, Atteans tribe asks Matt to come live with them while they move west permadently. Matt refuses because he wants to wait and see if is family will come. Matt is sad when Attean and his tribe leave permadently. Luckilly, Matt's family comes back safely. They live together in the cabin. I liked reading this book a lot- It's cool!
